A single shot of...
Bushpic
Distilled moments of time and wonder

Photography can convey a thousand thoughts, feelings, endings and processes in a single shot. My only expectation is that my photos must convey a sense of adventure. I want my photos to inspire others to go and capture awe and wonder. That could mean hiking solo for hours on end. Here, each photo is a snippet of an outing I had taken mostly in 2025 whether locally or in the wider Sydney area. I aim to capture the essence of each journey or a minor detail I might find on the trail; whether urban, coastal or bush. I hope to inspire others to go out and photo-journal their own escapades.

The city behind,
A muddied path with prickles
trekking for hours

There is nothing like the sense of a road trip; the anticipation; packing; rationing; driving; and finally the destination. There's also the good company and the sing-alongs in the car. Under a shade of trees and the luck of a not-so-crowded beach, I exhaled. The burden of the everyday melted off my sunscreen skin. My eyes gave way to a feeling of awe and knowing that this moment will never repeat.

Minnehaha Falls
Like the others
she was a sun-kissed bullet
She was suspended in the breath of Summer
and defied the laws of gravity
until she fell like a spear
With minimum splash,
she gurgled and foamed below in the water
Then finally, her head peaked
with sudden breath
